During the mid term break, I found out that Malaysia actually have quite a number of skate park such as Shah Alam, Kampung Batu(Somewhere else north to Kuala Lumpur), Pahang Temerloh, Terengganu Gong Badak, Taiping, Kampar, Ipoh, Putrajaya and Penang Youthpark.
So, when i was going back to Cyberjaya, i decided to purposely turn into Temerloh to have a look of it's skate park since temerloh is quite near from the road that i usually take whenever i have to come forth or back to Cyberjaya.
Somebody spray paints the word of "Temerloh" on the ramp, kinda cool huh.
Temerloh is actually just around 10km to the entrance to east coast highway of Temerloh. But the most difficult part is to find the skate park, I wasted one hour plus to just find the skate park. The skate park is actually just opposite of the UMNO building in Temerloh, but i just don't understand that why the UMNO has closed down, totally abandoned by UMNO themselves.
The location of skate park which is just opposite the UMNO building, literally too i mean.
Some ridiculous thing happened when i was searching for the skate park, the first time i passed by the UMNO building, i totally didn't notice that the skate park is just there. Then, the second time, i saw the place, but couldn't find the entrance or parking near the park. After a few rounds, i still couldn't see the entrance to the place. I fed up so i just park elsewhere near to the UMNO building and cross the road to go into the park. Then only i was told that the skate park is actually a part of a recreation park. You can just go into the recreation park there and walk over to the skate park.
During my arrival to the place, there are no people there. None of the skaters as well, still figuring is there still got active skaters around? But from the sources that i got from internet, the places usually full of skateboarders, but none of aggro inline skaters. But it was normal as inline skaters is very few in Malaysia, and aggro inline skaters are even fewer than that. Plus, most of them are located in Kuala Lumpur. It's hard for them to come over to Temerloh just to skate.
As for me, since my purpose is not to skate over there, so i didn't have the chance to skate there at all, even though my skate boots is just inside my car. I have took some photo of the place. So, have a look!
The skate park is really really small as it is just as big as a basketball court.
Some comments of the skate park : First thing first, the skate park is very small, consist only four ramps(one full U-ramp, three half U ramp), a few small hills, and two half pipe. As a skaters, have to say if everyday have to go to this kind of skate park, it will be boring. But still, it is good to have a skate park in east coast peninsular of Malaysia.
